Jeff, when you've had enough of their BS, come to South Dakota. Not much citris grown here but you can setup a range out your back door and only have to worry about the neighbors coming to help 'cause they like to shoot too. Just leave any liberal baggage you might have back there - we don't need it.

I was born in Kalifornia and saw the writing on the walls and left forty years ago. Family still in Kalifornia but they all said they wish they would have moved out as well. We lived in New Mexico for 34 years, we miss the weather and food everyday. But we are closer to grandkids in Oklahoma now.

I like nothing about the state.
Hello,
Oh, Boo Hoo to you too... flat lander.
Have you ever been to California or even lived here? For, such a strong opinion.

There's a lot of nice places outside of the big shat hole cities. Yet myself, I dislike having to go to the So Cal area of the LA basin and surrounding sprawl of concrete and asphalt. I count the days and hours until I can get back to my little piece of heaven in the Eastern Sierra. Once, I get to the lower Owens Valley with the White Mountains and the Sierra Mountain ranges on both sides, I feel much better. It's a different way of life up here, you just have to put up with the visitors from the cities...on vacation.

Geographical Nazi here…
While it is the same range as the Whites, aren’t the mountains to the east of the lower Owens Valley considered the Inyo Range? I had always considered the White Mountains starting to the north of Westguard Pass (Hwy 168).

I personally wouldn’t want to live where it is low and flat.

I left the Eastern Sierra Nevada 22 years ago after living there for 25 years, I miss the land, but I don’t miss the politics.

California has some amazing areas..... High Sierras, Mojave and Colorado Deserts, the coastal area of Big Sur, the Redwoods up North.... Yes, there's Montana and Wyoming, but few places have the natural beauty and variety that California offers. One time.... During one day, just to say I did it, I went diving, snow skiing and offroading in the desert.... all in one day! It was a long day but it was worth it :D

Yes, a lot of people here suck, laws suck.... but same goes for quite a few other places.
