Yep, the days when you could get a fast food meal for less than .50 cnts.(for, me as a kid).
I can still taste that ketchup, pickle and onions on the regular burgers...

If anybody has a chance to see "The Founder" with Michael Keaton as Ray Kroc, do it. It is an excellent movie and they did not sugarcoat it like they do most movies. Kroc really was an a-hole in real life, but how Mickey D's came to be is fascinating. It sucks today unfortunately.............

That's because horses were healthier then and more available. They have to use inferior cow meat or whatever else they can shovel off the floor today.

In 1958 I was earning $1/Hr. Never had any pocket money until the Marines. The cars in the pic would have been dream rides at the time. Unlike Marines of today, our barracks parking lot was full of junkers. Spending our disposable income on beer seemed like a bad idea at the time, but it saved many of us from the LeJeune water crud, which seemed to have hit the brown-baggers hardest.

And about 4 times the size of the pittance you get today. The fries were cooked in lard and were 100 times better than the GMO potatoes and whatever passes for cooking oil and salt substitute.
