I want this house when the current owner gets tired of it. Comes fully stocked!?

I didn't much get the sense the current owner knows what it's supposed to be used for. It more struck me that in the event of a nuclear emergency, he would drive to the nearest McDonalds and start ordering McNuggets until the end came. Such is life.

We need one like that as well, the kids and grandkids would have fun in it.

I guarantee you if I found that in a house I just bought...It would not be on YouTube!

That sure was a he k of a lot of earth to move out in 5 gallon buckets. I'm tired just thinking about it.
I'd never be able to build something like that. As soon as I started jackhammering our garage floor, my wife would have me committed.

Wow. Forty five feet of excavation carried out in buckets. I wonder where he dumped it?

There's still a lot of bomb shelters around. Simple because it takes $ to fill them up. But real estate agents tell me they don't call them that anymore. They call them root cellars or wine cellars. I mean think about it. New family starting a new life, immediately confronted with a nuclear fallout shelter. As soon as they started calling it yuppie stuff they took off.

My friend growing up had a so called "wine celler" in his parents house. It was behind a 1000 or 2000lbs steel blast door on rollers, down a spiral staircase about 15-20 feet. It had a/c and ventilation whereas the rest of the house did not it. When I think about it now it was a pretty well thought out place.

I know of another house in Washington State that has it's own underground 100yrd shooting range you enter from the garage. Think I'd like to have both.
