"I received a phone call from Elmer Balance of Devine, Texas this morning stating he still have M1A parts for sale. He acquired the Springfield Armory name and produced M1A rifles. He later sold to the Reese family that started Springfield Armory, Inc. Mr. Balance is 87 years young.

If anyone is needing GI M1A parts, Mr. Balance's phone # is 1-830-663-5105. He is an interesting person to talk to."

I have bought parts from Mr. Balance quite a few years ago and he was a first class gentleman to deal with.

I've bought some parts from Elmer before, but my last experience was disappointing. He had some USGI bolts for sale, turned out they were reclaimed drill rifle bolts, he forgot to mention that part.
