It looks like a really good job! And, I agree with the others and would suggest leaving it alone... IMHO, the brown contrasts well with the lighter colors and will help obscure your receiver/scope and barrel front end by breaking up the silhouette.
A lighter brown would be nice if you were painting the receiver and all of the exposed metal and making the rifle a more muted look overall...
But please accept my post for thought only, as I do not have the talents and the eye of a painter! I think what you have made is excellent and maybe you should make another one with the lighter brown and be able to compare which one you like best!
