Whoever in the Democrat party holds the super delegates, a concept that runs totally afoul of our entire democatic process, holds the nomination.

In a fair contest? Maybe. We saw this year that Bernie isn't very good at being the front runner. Once he was ahead in the polls, the crazy started to come out, both of him and his supporters. It was a bad look. Bernie looks best as the upstart challenger, yelling at the front runners about everything that is wrong with this country, without offering any solutions. Once he starts to talk about what he would do if he were in charge, it becomes clear why most Americans don't want him in charge. Yes, the DNC pulled a maneuver to push Biden past Bernie. But Bernie may have collapsed on his own. He never actually had majority support in the party. He was simply benefitting from the "not Bernie" vote being split among the other candidates.

That said, Hillary was probably the worst presidential candidate in history. Elitist, unlikeable, mendacious, corrupt beyond belief, and absolutely no grasp of strategy. She basically lost to Trump because she didn't bother to campaign in the swing states that decide modern elections. Trump might have still beaten her if she had, because his message appealed to those states. But the fact that she didn't even try shows how little she understood.

As it was, with the DNC firmly in Hillary's pocket, no other candidate had a chance. Her campaign was paying the DNC's bills because the DNC was bankrupt. She owned the party and the super delegates.
