Can someone please tell me how to contact Elmer Ballance to get a history of my Devine? Does he have an email address, snail mail, cell, etc.?
Thank you in advance.

Just saw your post. I call him at the number listed above. He still lives at the Devine location where our favorite Texas M1A’s were built. He is a wealth of knowledge and a very funny guy.

I do have to wonder how Elmer is doing.

I talked to him before I bought S/N 825 back in the 2000's and asked him if it was legit. It was stamped on the barrel as a Devine but not with his address at the time the rifle was made. He stated that it was a legit Devine rifle.

I talked with him a few years later and his story had changed to 'someone must have put several of his receivers in their lunch boxes and made their own rifles.'

Not sure what changed.

I do know that Different (Lee Emerson) got a signed letter from Elmer that barrels marked like mine are legit Devine rifles.
