I've lost the little pin that holds the connector lock to the bottom of my M1A receiver. Is this something that can be replaced with a visit to my local hardware store or do I need to request an actual replacement part from Springfield Armory? Never paid much attention to this tiny part. Not sure if it is a simple roll pin or some type of specialty fastener. All I know is that it is missing and I'm afraid of losing the connector lock next.
If I am not mistaken it is a 1/32 roll pin. Anyone else??? If you can find the size grab one form the hardware store and trim it down. These are common parts and don't necessarily need to be GI or from SAI. One thing I would be concerned about is why it came out. if you find it happening again I would think about replacing the connector lock pin. All the ones I have installed went in snug.
