In a couple of months I will be scoping my M1A, and am considering some LR feed for it. My intended zero is 500m. I want to try the IMI LR from ZQI, and I am also interested in the Fiocchi Exacta 175 grain.

Comments on either of these? Is the Fiocchi too hot, i.e. was it intended for bolt guns, or is it ok for the Garand action and op rod?

overall difference in these two? Other suggestions?

I'm interested in the nearest equivalent to Original, Vietnam Era M118 - a trajectory to match my AR TEL XM-21 Scope!

Keep in mind there are grooved pistons, vented gas plugs and you can probably control the gas until the case just dribbles out of the action! CC

??? IMI is Israeli and ZQ1 is Turkish I don’t believe they are cooperating on ammo production. When you say zero at 500 do you mean zero or shoot at 500, if not shooting past 500 then a 168 grain match load will work. If going past 700 or so you need to bump up to a 175, SGA has PMC 168’s at .87-.90 a round and Samson (IMI) 175’s at .96-1.00, then they have the usual suspects at a little more. Best thing to do would be to try different brands until you find what your rifle likes.
