Aloha,

I thought I would post a heads up on some of the stuff that I have been recently working on...

One, is that I have a Poly M14S and a DGR Garand from Dean Dillabaugh coming in... I have been working on this for about 2 weeks now. Both should arrive by tomorrow and hopefully will be in my hands by tomorrow night!

Another project is that I have four stocks that I have been working on... All of them were in really bad shape but is starting to look much better. I have been working on two Walnut stocks, one with stripes and the other with fiddleback grain... and the other two are Birch stocks with a lot of figure and some stripes! Wish me luck, I hope they all come out awesome...

Well, that's it for now... and I hope to get some pics posted soon... Thanks for letting me share my projects with you all...

Aloha Six:

I just returned a couple of hours ago with both rifles! The Poly is exactly how it was described and will be a great rifle to work on. And she is a pre-ban to boot!!! Yes!

As for the DGR M1 Garand from Dean Dillabaugh, words cannot descibe what I got! The stock is absolutely incredible! The Bastogne Hybrid is almost translucent or 3D... you can actually see grain over grain... and talk about "fiddleback", wow! These stripe like grain waves (vertical) run the length of the stock and both handguards. Looks like these were all cut from the same piece of wood. I don't know if pics can pick up what I see but my Dealer and his partner were slack jawed just looking at her!

The metal is parked flawlessly! And, the M1 Garand looks and appears better than the day the receiver was born... Dean did give me a six digit receiver and I will have to do some research on it, but the metal is awesome!!!

Put the stock and metal together, as she came, and I was slobbering all over... this is OUTSTANDING!!!

I am still trying to figure out how to take pics of this rifle, everytime you look at it, the grain pattern changes... unreal! What an addition to my M1 Garand collection!

Wish me luck on getting some good pics, and I will post.

Tom,
You have a great collection. If you're like me, you must get a warm fuzzy feeling with each new firearm you acquire.

The mental picture you painted is outstanding. I can hardly wait to see pictures of your 2 new babies.

Hey Thanks for the Support everyone!!!

I had to work all day (to help pay for my addiction) so I didn't get a chance to play with the new addition to the family, but I hope to get some pics shot this weekend. Yep, I got that warm and fuzzy feeling!!!

I want the Poly wearing one of the stocks I have been working on and will definitely shoot the DGR (pics I mean). Six, any suggestions on how to shoot these pics? I only seem to have plain backdrops. But I will see what I can do...

WdiGeorge, this is about the sixth rifle you recommended my way... I tell my significant other, that it's all your fault!!! At least I'm not in the dog house yet.

Aloha,
