My first trip to Colombia was in the mid 90s and lasted two years. It was a very violent and tumultuous time, a dark period in Colombia's history. But in spite of this I fell in love with the country and its people!
I met many wonderful people, some of which I became very close to. A few of my friends here on the forum know I visited Colombia in February. It was not a planned trip but a friend of mine was dying, he had been battling cancer for sometime and I felt the need to say good bye.
While I was there I hung out with his family and friends, what wonderful people! He would have wanted us to celebrate his life.

I thought to share some pictures, I know how we like pictures here!

Mi amigo, te extranamos!

Some pictures of a happier time.

This one is for POLACK!

Me trying to dance, I just can't move the hips the way they do!

My friends home sits high above Medellin, what a beautiful view.

I will try this next time I visit.

Sorry for the loss of your friend.
I think you will enjoy paragliding.
My wife and I love the powered variety.
