I put a floppy nylon riser on my rifle but it's not gonna cut it for competition. What risers are people using for across the course?

This is what I use on my FAL. I am sure that someone makes one for the M1A.

Tac-Pro kydex adjustable riser. Have one on both and soon to be three rifles. I haven't used one but Bradleys are supposed to be very good also. Similar design. -Lloyd 🍻

Here's a mock-up. I have not tried it yet, but part of me wants to put a retro 4x scope and retro leather cheek piece (from RLO) on my retro T44E4 project. Don't expect to win, but might be a fun experiment. I do wish the RLO cheek piece had a suede underside or something less slippery.

I was under the impression that cheek risers were not allowed in service rifle competition.

CMP rule 4.1.3(g) states: If optical sights are used, the attachment of a cheek pad or cheek-piece riser to the butt-stock is permitted if the pad or attached cheek-piece is not orthopedically shaped and is fixed so it cannot be moved or adjusted for different firing positions.

Not sure how the Bradley or Tac-Sol/Fulton adjustables meet that verbage. Bradley does make a fixed version.
