Here's one more "which ones better" thread...

CASM vs. DCSB? How well do they work with the Sage EBR? With the wicked deal Botch has it has shaken my faith in the direction I was thinking for a mount. I like what I've heard about the CASM but I also really like those iron sights and it seems a shame to me to ditch them. How is the BUIS on the CASM?

Enquiring minds...

I have not used the CASE

So I'll contribute my impressions on the dcsb.

I'd ask what you want ?

A solid mount?

A removable mount?

You can't have both between those

I want to get a lt608. I think it will be superior because it's made made of that stiff larue alluminum.

The dcsb is flimsy compared to larue hardware.

Those cams that lock it on is hard on the rail though.

Nothing is better in general.

But some things can serve you personally better.

When it comes to the m14 type there is a point where where you have modified so much you need to just get an jp, larue, lmt

Without a wood stock AND without m1 sights... well that don't interest me.

The BUIS on the CASM is marginally useful. Think about peeking through a hole approx. 1/8" in diameter and lining this up with a similar hole 5" in front of it. Very little light gets through and it's very hard to see a target.

The CASM is a great mount but forget about using the holes as a BUIS.
