Well if we get lucky maybe one of these days there will be good surfing in AZ and NV.
it'll never happen. the main fault (san andreas)is closer to the coast than az. by a couple hundered miles.

it'll be more like surfing in the bakersfield or mojave bay

edwards air force base will become the new point magu NAS

we stay in ca for family, weather, scenery and to fight the good fight.

For those who wonder why we stay in Kalifornia, I can only speak for myself. The main reason is that my old gray-haired momma is 94 and is not relocating to Northern Idaho. Just trying to get her to field strip a FAL has become a problem.
In addition, "staying in Kalifornia" will become "staying in Amerika" if the Marxist in the White House wins in November. Think I'm kidding? The phrase here is that "we are living in Obama's second term".
I am fortunate enough to have dual US/Australian citizenship but from a gun standpoint, the hapless Aussies were relieved of those evil, dangerous firearms a while back. Still a great country and I think I would rather go to ground there than here. So I dunno . . . guess I'll just go surfin, dude.
I have been looking at Panama as a place to retire. It has a lot to recommend it.

Screw California...

... over 33% of its residents are on welfare...
... over 33% of all U.S. welfare recipients reside here (in California)
... Corporations/businesses are fleeing from California... STILL...
... California's budget deficit nearly doubled in but the past five months (9.2 Billion in January 2012 to now 16.9 Billion in May 2012).
... retirees are fleeing from California...
... intelligent/educated workers are fleeing from California...
... and soon there won't be any GNP contributors left in California.

This is a worldwide phenomenon, associated with socialist governments. Look how closely this parallels the condition of Greece, Spain and Italy. Greece (and California) have passed the breakeven point, at which they could have made a difference in their economies. Instead of making the hard decisions, they keep up the empty promises so they will continue to be reelected.
Businesses are leaving California because the state is trying to make up the shortfalls by raising taxes. When they realize that, they will go after personal wealth...that's the only avenue this mindset can visualize.
Greece has failed, the European Union will fail once Germany refuses to continue bailing them out. California has already failed as well, they just haven't admitted it yet.

They will never admit liberal policies are failures. The Left, at every level here, truly believes that they are completely correct and are handling everything right and moving the state in a better direction. I can't believe the delusional and ignorant thinking of liberals here.
One day an old lady flagged me down to tell me to support candidate "X", a Democrat, for representative. I asked if he supported our 2nd Amendment rights. She retorted with, "There are more important things than that". I said, "No, Ma'am, there are not more important things than that. Firearms are Liberty's teeth". She countered, "Well, poor people have to eat and they need money, You must be one of those stupid Fox news watching Conservatives that love the rich! All you care about is the rich, they're ruining America". I said "Ma'am, show me one person on welfare that created a job". It stammered her, so I asked again, and said, "Rich people create jobs, I'm glad my boss is rich so I can go to work." She just cussed at me and walked away. That's how liberals debate politics here in my experience. Trying to reason with liberals on guns is like trying to reason with a lion with your beloved pet.

Not all liberals are morons... I know plenty who are fully aware of what is going on in this country. What we see on the streets, and on T.V., though... that's a different matter altogether. Most of those liberals ARE morons.
