I have a friends in my possession right now. They are actually IOR Valdada scopes, with the BW reticule. I forget if they offer several or if the Y-Tac is just their most common. I like it and could probably get used to it, but I still folded and went for the Mark 4, 2.5-8 last week. I will hopefully get this scope in the next year if times are still good.
You probably know, but IOR certainly has a good reputation. The BW company takes the scope and just inserts their reticule.
I own a BW Optics IOR scope. The glass is excellent. The reticule is nice as well. It does ranging in a couple of ways and includes bullet drop compensation. I am fairly certain what actually occurs is that BW Optics has IOR etch their reticule design on the glass at the manufacturer. This is my guess as the reticule is glass etched, and since the scope is guaranteed waterproof/fogproof and nitrogen filled, my guess is the reticule work is done at the factory, and resold by BW Optics.
