Hi. Still new to M14s and putting together my first 2 rifles.

Ha, yes 2.

One is going to be a "Bush" version with a GI refinished black fiberglass stock, LRB receiver, TRW Bolt and probably set up for an aimpoint.

Which barrel should I go for? I'm willing to spend the extra to get the right one the first time. Something accurate, but won't be shooting matches with this one. I want something that will give me a long service life, so don't really want to pick up a "match" barrel if it means only 5000 rounds and out. Or, perhaps I don't know what I'm talking about. :D

I've seen so far:

The barrel offered by Fulton for $250, chromed. (Wilson?)

The Krieger Bush, which looks to be a heavy version, for $340.

And which twist rate for standard surplus? I won't reload any time soon.
