I've got all my brass prepped and primed, power ready, but running low on bullets.

Trying to get ready for this summer's range time.

Anyone know any good spots to get some projectiles?

Bad timing. I keep my projectiles at a minimum of 3-5k. Bunch of 155, 168, and 175 Nosler CCs. When I see seconds at The Shooters Shop I buy 1k. That's at least a 5 year supply. You've got to insulate yourself from these panics.

You're exactly right, I'm learning a hard lesson here. Core issue is I am new to shooting and reloading and haven't had time to build up stockpiles of all the supplies yet. This error won't get repeated.

I like the way you put that HJ. "Insulate". I am all about insulation right now and a little isolation as well. I have set a new goal. I have enough to load 5k each 224 and 30cal. Now that i have reached my goal I am setting the standard higher, double what I have on hand. Many of the forum members have a motto that I am adopting, Stack it deep!! I am going to stack so deep I can fall asleep for five years and not even blink.

I am in agreement, especially since I live behind enemy lines in NYS. I will not buy commercial ammunition if I can help it save for 22Rimfire.

I will continue to put components for myself to the side and make sure I don't have to go and submit to a NICS inquiry just for ammo. Screw them.

I'm solid on supplies for a few years but I'd like to back up some of the things I may opt to use later on like pistol components. I am heavily supplied for rifle though.

When the smoke clears, I'll be looking to pick up more bulk pistol bullets, once fired brass and such for handgun.

I haven't reloaded for 5.56mm for years... and I got caught up in the hysteria. Part of it was waiting to find a suitable bullet, but I also forgot I only had 500 SR primers... DOH! I was able to score 2K SR primers for a reasonable price... now I'm trying to find bullets...

They're the same as SMKs. I rolled up 20 rounds...ten of each 175 SMK and Nosler CC. All the bullets in a mixed magazine went through the same hole at 100 yards from my SM. Why pay a SMK premium when they are the same projectile??? Same BC and all.
