Looking forward to building these beautiful receivers into precision rifles in the near future. Finish on these appear to be superb.
Fitted bolts and hand tightened barrels and checked out other parts for compliance. All is good to go. Whatta Hobby!

To go in a SAGE Stock!

They are doing just fine.

I enjoyed all the builds I did on Poly and Norinco receivers over the years. There was a time , not long ago, that they were the only forged receiver built to USGI specs.

The Bula XM21 was designed and machined so the rail would line up with the SAGE.

Enjoy your Poly build and keep us up to date with progress reports.

Hi,
It was a built rifle at one time and the Owner sold it as parts.

I'm going to have to roll the barrel shoulder to get the timing right for the re-install, but no problem...

When I was building FALs, a lot of those Kits needed that, to time up right.

I'll put something up when I get there!

Hi,
Wow, that's nice!

I will probably have to peen mine but I Blacksmith for a hobby so have the tools...

And never a problem with the FALs...

Built my Imbel/Austrian STG-58 that way and it hits like a hammer with that Steyr Barrel.

Never got the memo, FALs aren't accurate!

So true. Love my FALs too.

There are so many ways to skin a cat, if you like skinning cats. Myself, I have no use for cats.

I use a scissor knurler that I replaced the knurling wheels with smooth burnishing wheels. It connects to my lathe tool post.
I had to use mine this past week and had saved me a few times.
Tony.
Awesome Tony. That's one way you pros can do it. Do you have to wear a life jacket in your shop now, or were you relatively unscathed?

Going to find out soon my friend. Sure is fun grabbing things from storage and putting them to use.

Stock hardware has been fitted and removed. Sanded more with 220 and gave here a coat of 50/50 BLO and thinner. Nice tigering is showing up the full length of the stock. I have feeling that she will shine after a few more applications of 50/50 and then finish wet sanding with 400 and then 600.Whatta Hobby!
