Had to be taken by the Bams their selfs.
I almost posted this myself. Is that "name" still prevalent in the Marines?

I heard it when I was in the Army back in the late 70's. The best squad leader I ever had was a former Marine who left to go into the US Army. He told me what the name meant and I thought is was funny as hell. He also told me not to call one that to her face as some of that might try to whip my butt. I'm not that kind of guy anyway, but I did think it was funny.

Oh, Sgt. Foreman told me he got out of the Marines and went into the Army because he wanted to get married and the Marines (at his rank and time in service) weren't too enthusiastic about him getting married. Great guy (I guess, I only knew him as Sgt. Foreman) and great NCO. He stood up for me more than once when some other NCO tried to pin their mistakes on me. I still remember that little sideway wink he'd give you just before he dropped a bomb on somebody who thought they had the upper hand.

The military and the federal government are dead serious about sexual harassment and assault now, especially within the ranks. I would expect that anybody that gets caught doing this, or having done it, is done. Finished. Ended. As in, their career. Maybe they'll avoid hard time. It isn't the 60s, 70s, or 80s any more, and the attitude has definitely changed from what it was back then.

Hell, a service meber can receive up to and including a dishonorable discharge for soliciting prostitution now.

Here she is, Ground Zero in the scandal, search on "Kally Wayne" and you will get an eyeful:

Wayne joined the Marines in 2013 but was removed three years later for unrelated misconduct. She and many other female service members were the alleged targets of obscene and sexually explicit comments from members of the Facebook group before the posts were taken down.

She likes her chaw...

That's an All American gal right there, probably defeat ISIS singlehandedly:

I poked around a bit, and from what I can tell, she's the poster child for why women shouldn't be allowed in the Marine Corps. My hunch tells me that she's working on her financial planning. I suspect she'll go after the Corps for money, and then she'll get a deal to get paid well next time naked pictures and videos are taken, and there will be a next time, count on it. She doesn't seem to be overly modest. She has put up Go Fund Me to pay for her tattoos. She's working this a bit, and more power to her, I just hate that she's dragging a bunch of people down to get the notoriety she needs to launch her career.

From any perspective, the real loser is the Marine Corps, which will have to be nearly totally rebuilt. The realistic training and PRT standards that have been scrapped in the name of diversity must be re-implemented if the Green Machine is to survive.

During my time ('61-'65) the term BAM was in universal use. It's my understanding that it was banned decades ago. Social tinkerers have eroded the strategic value of our service to the degree that it's become a convenient haven for overpaid misfits. Several friends took early retirements due to the deteriorating standards and these are good Marines. What will be done to restore its combat effectiveness remains to be seen.
