OK in this discussion I would like to hear other options and pros and cons to my plan.

I am working up a load for my browning A bolt in 7mm with the boss system.

I plan on increasing the powder (RL19) in .5 grain intervals between the recipe just below max in the Horniday book to the max. Using the suggested sweet spot for that round (SST 139gr). then taking the best pattern round and fine tunning with the BOSS.

Any reason not to develop it this way any other Ideas.dance2

I'd try RL22 as well, shoots really well in my 7mm Sendero.

range report

So I worked up the load as described above starting at 62.2 gr of RL 19 working up in .5 grain interval under a 139 SST in new WW Super brass and CCI MAG primer. Neck sizing and bullet Seating with lee die also using the lee factory crimp die. Hornday book says starting should be 3000 fps and max load of 64.3 is 3100 fps. I got what I think are excellent results for a hunting round and could not see messing with the Boss for 100 fps. All are 5 shot groups.DI5
