Yes, those operating rods were made in the Republic of Korea. RWB, LLC first imported them into the United States in 2008. They are machined from one piece alloy steel forgings. Dlask Arms imports them into Canada as well.
Regarding the RWB op rods, Joe Dlask did get in a batch of these. With all the inexpensive Norinco and Polytech M14 rifles already fitted with decent ONE PIECE FORGED op rods, there was not much market up here for the RWBs.
I've seen new/as new Chinese op rods sell up here for $ 60 - 80.
Got my Brownell's Op rod in today and with just a touch of the file it fit perfectly. Very nice machine work and park was top notch. We'll see how it shoots, but hand cycling and going by feel and look it shouldn't be a problem.
