Is any particular vender/maker better nowadays for the bolt roller? Fulton, Brownells (SA), or whatever? I had one come off in my hand while greasing today. the clip is mostly worn away. The roller is egged a bit on the inside but the stud on the HRT bolt may be ok. I need to scrutinize it again.

I'm searching now but not finding it. There is a seller on GB that goes by Watson???, Can't remember his exact user name. He often lists small M14 parts in quantity. He usually has a GI NOS 5 pack of rollers/clips up for something like $25. I'm not finding any of his auctions at the moment. I'll keep looking....
PS, if you're in a jamb to go shooting, I have a roller/clip set in a small envelope here, I also have a "clip" pliers made by Ironworker,,,and there is a tutorial by Ironworker on how best to remove and install a roller. (he sells the pliers BTW). I can get the roller in the mail on Monday and include loaning you the pliers if you need. Let me know.

I think that's 3715Watson. Sherluk Defense. I've bought from them before.
Thanks for the offer, my Friend. I'll send you an email in a little while. ;o)
The roller stub on the bolt is measuring .272/.271 with a Vernier caliper. On the low end of the spec. Looks and feels smooth. Worth trying a roller. The bolt doesn't have alot of rounds on it. About 500. This rifle has an ARMS18 and Leupold scope mounted. I had two jams at the range. Oprod bolster wedged an ejected case against the front scope ring base. HARD. Had to take a wood block to the oprod and whack it pretty hard to free it up. Twice. That might have broken the clip. And I shot several after that.
Took three rifles to dial the sights in after working on all three over the winter. It was the first outing for the new SOCOM.

You can also try hueygunner on this site. I picked up a H&R bolt that he completely rebuilt, nitrided, and installed new guts along with a roller and clip. He may have some extra rollers and clips. -Lloyd BEERCHUG1
