Hi guys,
About to send my rifle to Warbird for some work. I have two spare TRW bolts. I was wondering do you guys think I should get one of the bolts headspaced to my rifle? So if I have a problem with the stock bolt I can just stick in the spare.

If i get the bolt headspaced to this barrel receiver combination. Does this mean there'll be problems later trying to use it for a different barrel receiver combination?

Aloha CF:

I would send them to Warbird with your rifle at least to have them checked... chances are the bolts will fit as is. In that case, you will have a spare bolt ready to go.

If the bolts are modified in any way, it may not fit in other rifles/receivers. But then again, it may. I think it will depend on whether or how close your present receiver/barrel setup is to the next setup you get...

Since you have two, see if one will drop in to your rifle being done now and save one for the next rifle or future use...

I think that will be safe...

Aloha,

Tom O.
