Going to install my scope mount today. Was wondering what the best way was to remove the stripper clip guide? Any advice? Thank you in advance.

Field strip the rifle. Flip the receiver upside down. Use a 3/32" punch pin to gently tap out the pin driving from the under side of the stripper clip guide. After the pin is out use a rubber mallet to tap the clip guide out. Tap the clip guide on the RIGHT HAND (OP ROD HANDLE) side so that it moves off the dove tail mount towards the scope mount side. Do all of this with a loving and gentle touch.

It also may help to clamp the receiver legs in a padded vice and use a small wooden dowel as a punch to tap it out from right to left. When insatlling the replacement scope mount block, you may need to file the block so that it will fit by gently tapping it in from left to right. Don't try and force it on if it is a tight fit.
