Is you question, how to tell the difference between loaded ammo or just brass cases? While there is no way to know for sure if its not on the labeling of loaded ammo and the ammo is some unique, unusual flavor, your best bet would be to ask the seller or google around.

If its brass cases, Boxer type pockets have single hole in the middle, Berdan cases have a little anvil 2 little holes..

Geez Im out of it... Dont know why I thought there was 3

If you take the time to really want to know, the Berdan primers are slightly larger. I never measured to see what the difference is but it is enough to measure with a scale.

Both types generally work fine for milsurp ammo. In the U.S. you'll want to stick with Boxer-primed cases to reload, recycle the Berdan brass.
