Bassett scope mount question
What factors should I consider in choosing between the standard Bassett scope mount and the Picatinny mount?

The high Picatinny mount came yesterday, which i pretty impressive since I ordered it Wednesday IIRC. Rings will be here tomorrow, I have either a Leupold Rifleman 4-12 x 40 or a VX-1 2-7 x 33 I could put on it handy. I figure I'll try that Rifleman first.
Thats a sensible approach. I considered the quick detach rings but whatever scope ends up on the M1A its likely to stay right there. The 4-12 is currently on a CZ 521, and its not ideal for that gun. The 2-7 arrives tomorrow and I'm thinking that will be a better match-up with the CZ, and the Rifleman can live on the M1A. Nothing is set in concrete though..
Not if you want to use different glass like I posted.
Seems a better approach to me than having a second Bassett.
