I have the low mount on my SA NM. Based on forum advice. I like it. On and off for iron sights is no problem. Had to get a strap on cheek rest for scoped shooting.
I would talk to Bassett with the optic info handy.
I have no problem with brass ejecting either.
Bassett Low Picatinny Mount with Burris Xtreme Lows
I use Burris Lows (1/4") for my Vortex PST Viper 2.5-10 x32 on the Bassett Picatinny Low mount.
The rear iron sight is set at 100 yds. It will just clear the magnification adjustment ring if I were to position the ring over the elevation sight.
Burris Xtreme Mediums are 1/4" higher.
I installed a cartridge deflector under the scope to protect the knob from ejected cartridges. I don't seem to need it but good insurance.
I have a Basset low picatinny mount with Warne Maxima medium rings and use a TNVC cheek riser, I can use the iron sights without removing the mount but the top portion of the front blades are not visible, no biggie for me. I'm finding that there is very little to no re-sighting in the scope after the mount and scope has been removed. I really like the setup but may try to find some rings that will lower the scope just a bit.
The mount is slick, it comes off in just a couple of seconds and is just as easy to reinstall.
