The Historical development of the USGI M14 scope mount has not been addresssed to my knowledge. Reading various articles and books an assortment of somewhat unreladed material can be found along with pictures that do not clealy show the cronological order of the mounts development..
Does anyone have knowledge of where material can be found that includes pictures of the early AWS single lock screw M14 mount.. This early mount has a narrow dovetailed ramp on top, about 7/16 ths. of an inch wide,, running the lenght of the mount.. Apperently there was an adapted between the mount and scope rings, I need to reproduce that adapter.. Help requested.... Art
