I have some .30-06 blanks I am considering selling but before I do I want to know what shipping methods / carriers are viable for this. Is it the same as ammunition?

If it has a primer, it can't be shipped by USPS. Most likely treated like regular ammo.

Blanks are considered to be ammunition, by all 3 entities. Definitely a no go for USPS.

USPS is a no go because they often subcontract cross country transport to other carriers. They have no idea if the package will end up in an aircraft. That's why they ask you about "hazardous materials" at the post office. They don't have the infrastructure to guarantee that the package will only move by ground.

That being said, I have bought primers and ammunition on GB that was delivered by USPS, so some folks don't seem to care.

I once had a small pistol delivered to my FFL guy via USPS and it had a box of live ammo inside the box with it. LOL. I sent the guy a note saying probably not a good idea.....
