Just purchased the Scout Squad, after playing with my father in law's SOCOM 16 at the range. Put 6 rds into one jagged hole at 25yds with the open sights, and decided immediately that I had to have one. Excited to get back out and see what it's capable of.

Prior service Army Infantry, 16 year LEO and Firearms Instructor. All of my training/experience has been with the M16/AR15 platform from close quarters to intermediate distances, but have picked up the long range bug recently and invested in a RPR in 6.5 CM. I've been working with it for the past month with favorable results. Figured that what I've learned will carry over to the M1A and will start experimenting with it. Plan on mastering the opens before looking into optics and other upgrades.

Thanks for having me.

Welcome aboard brother Texan,, first fever then sweaty palms, anxiety when missing out on a great deal, one of those have to have items on the PX, next will be, the learning of how to present a great excuse to the wife as to why you had to have it. Then it will be well I was at the gun show and and well it followed men home...LoL good luck with that .....practice practice practice

The wife and I have an understanding. She has her separate fun money, I have mine. She doesn't question me about why I 'needed' another firearm...I don't question her about why she 'needed' another pair of shoes.

It's quite the symbiotic relationship.

Welcome to the forum. You are in Luppino Country, look him up sometime. If you need to stretch the reach of your weapons, there is 1000 yard range in Liberty Hill, just a couple of hours from Kerrville.
