No....that's a bunch of horse patties....the Aimpoint is parallax free. Meaning that the dot does not have to be perfectly "centered" in the optic in order to hit the target. Place the dot on the target, and simply pull the trigger...

Well, IMHO you don't need a cheekpiece. The Aimpoint will raise your head off the stock to see through it, but with red dots I've found you don't really need a good cheek weld to use it effectively

Thanks guys for the input. I figured it was BS but than again I did read it a AR15.com LOL :D

I thought about one on a ARMS 18 "old style" kinda like the idea of being able to use the irons at the same time.
