Glad you posted the translation to your AFSC's. Obviously, greater minds than ours changed the code, perhaps to "improve". Retired back in the stone age of 1987 when change was starting and apparently it hasn't slowed down. Anyway, I've been a TTK (tactrainedkiller) SACmasized (slambam radar detection units) Mt Heb AFS , Oregon, Fuzzy7 tracker, with additional duty as an Acting First Shirt, USAFEuropeD (IBBA-IttyBittyBadAZZ Tac Control Flight), TAC (TAC control Squadron) Luke AFB, AAC'd (amateur Air Circus, Campion AFS), must not forget the eventful year at Rockville AFS, Iceland, ADC'd along the way, several times and finally, squids will know this term, plankowner USSPACECOM Headquarters Cheyenne Mountain and Chidlaw Building (do they even exist yet?) AFSC? 27690 plus other sub variants thereof. AND just to add to the neverending saga: I started out in the USNavy, same type of job, radar operator/technician.

Got out of the Canoe Club after 4 years, 3 months and 5 days (not that I was keeping track). Got tired of working for a living, joined the Air Force Direct Duty Assignment 4 years later. No rank lost. Seems I had a skill they needed. THEN I found out why there was a shortage. Can we say MOBILE Tactical Radar?

Why did I retire after all these choice assignments? After 5 credited remotes (remember they counted all of the USNavy Vietnam time), they wanted to send me remote again, back to Iceland!!!!! BUT, I had to sew on my Senior stripes as a contingency. With a daughter going into High School and a son going into Junior High School, what do you think? I've seen the American schools at Kefvalvik.

Had to make way for all you young whippersnappers. Looks like you've done a fine job of upholding the traditions of the USAF.
