303X2 AC&W Radar Maintenance, 1983-1998

139th TCF, Peterson AFB & Buckley ANGB, CO (COANG)
112th ACS, State College, PA (PAANG)

TPS-43E and TPS-75 radars.

The 139th is long-defunct, with hardly any record of its existence. The 112th has been re-tasked and I'm not sure of their role at this point.

Just going through the thread and saw this.

TPS 43E, brings back some good times. I was on the original 43E school taught by Westinghouse engineers.

On the final tech order verification before acceptance into the USAF inventory, all commands sent their representatives to Westinghouse in Baltimore. TAC sent me to represent the Air Force west of the Mississippi.

We took the 43E on its maiden deployment to the Mojave by Fort Erwin to support Red Flag.

30554 (no shred-out) - Electronics Computer & Switching Systems Specialist.

3392nd Student Squadron - Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS.
(and nope, I have never missed Biloxi but at least it wasn't Awful Offut or WhyNot Minot. By the way, did anyone ever find that tree that all the girls were supposed to be hiding behind? LOL)

41st ECS (Compass Call - AWACS Triad), Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ

Odd how this AFSC doesn't seem to translate into Civilian job titles, like Army MOS's do. Electronics Technician, Computer Technician...why is that so hard?!?
