When I left Bagram down in the SASC there was a Beautiful Walnut H&R M14 in the locker. Someone got a real prize!
I wonder what would have been the disposition that rifle. Was that locker and that HR back in the custody of the armorer, and if so, pending re-issue to a specific MOS? How many armorers then and
now would have been or would be
now competent in age of Milley and DoDee "Sr. Advisor to the Secretary of Defense on Human Capital, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" (aka white rayciss
™ specialist) in the repair and maintenace of these rifles, let alone sparing for them. Most pictures I see of M14's deployed into the middle east didn't wear wood stocks like that HR vs the outer space looking hardware depicted above. They're only original once and as born. Also wonder how many of the last true Main Battle Rifles are left hopefully not in the hands of fools and or fbi jackboots, irs, bureau of "land management" or other 3 letter "agencies". Any of you boys know?
