Grab some of these for practice. Not as easy as you think if you are going for solid hits. Ton of fun.
Yes, I like the targets they have available. I used the 52 card poker targets at one of my events with one shot of 12 ga. 00 buck at 30 yards. With one shot only of nine pellets, you picked the best poker hand you could, what a blast. If it works out right, you can place your shot pattern in the money and have nine hits on card values, but it is a luck of the draw kind of event.

Great suggestion! I just started poking around in the forum for the first time in several years. @Sam I am and I will be setting up some kind of little range some time in the future and as inexperienced shooters, it's good to see these kind of ideas. When I say inexperienced, I mean nothing more than merit badges and "at the farm" shooting time from over the years.

I have an old Rem 788 in .223. I used to load 45 grn nosler bullets or 55 gr. Sierra blitz bullets to shoot crows with. These bullets were designed to explode and come apart on impact with practically anything. As a matter of fact the sierra 55gr blitz bullets said not to use them in a barrel with a 1/10 twist because the thin jackets would come apart with the rotational force and speed of spin compared to the 1/12 twist of my Rem. 788. The 55gr blitz bullets and 45 gr nosler almost blew crows in half when hit. Quite different than a 22lr. Different round for different situations. Dillon sells or use to sell a CD that you could put in a computer and print out all kinds of targets on regular typing paper. Saved money on targets. I used a lot of paper plates also.

Will be shooting with a friend today. He likes his 40x but is leaning toward the CZ after seeing what it can to on a 50 yard ABA card. I will be using the custom 10/22 today just to give him a better chance. Whatta Hobby!
