400 rounds XM-118

Is this round comparable, the same, or better than 118LR? Not familiar with the XM prefix.

XM118 later became M118NM and its a good round, Its uses a 173gr pill, M118LR uses the better Sierra 175, can you shoot or tell the differance between the two down range? I can't.
