Just looking at the ballistics info on remingtons site and found the 30-06 accelerator 55gr. round. Has anyone tried this ammo? It has a very flat trajectory and very high muzzle velocities. Seems like a good varmint round. I bit overkill I spose.

Ok I talked to a gunsmith and he said it was a 55gr soboted .22 cal bullet with a muzzle velocity of around 4000fps. This made for a very flat trajectory that should be accurate to 250 yards. He said he can still order them for $28.00 a box, so I may order some and see how they shoot. Sounds like a good varmint round.
Where do you find the sabots? I've looked but was unable to find any other then black powder 50 cal.
