Hood Automotive tire Bumper Wood Motor vehicle

Found a 260 Rem at the range.

Curious, can I resize this into a 6.5 Creedmoor?

You should be able to convert the 260 Rem to 6.5 Creedmoor, but it's not as simple as just running it through a die. It'll need to be trimmed by quite a bit and the neck will need to be turned.

6.5 x 49 Creedmoor is far more common ammo than .260 Remington in my opinion. I like the 6.5 x 49 rifle round. In the future I hope it gains popularity but it may be overshadowed by the rise of the 6.8 x 51.

too much work to manipulate parent brass - plenty of creedmoor brass around. no need for all that. 17 Fireball - that is the brass you may have to make some.

Sure it’s possible ….I was bored & converted LCLR 308 cases for my semi auto 6.5 Creedmoor just for the hell of it but it is a lot of extra work including turning the necks .

I have been saving my 3-time used 308 brass for maybe .45 Long for auto-loader? Should be okay for pistol.
