That's the same idea as a linear compensator, just heavier and bulkier. Here is a linear that I use on an M1A...I have one of these and they work great.

Not speaking for Kurt, but I would guess with an adapter. SEI makes a couple, one with a front sight base and a castle nut, just like Delta P makes (but not as spiffy, I've been told), and one that is simply a screw on thread adapter.Yup. The SureFire requires one of their brakes or flash hiders to attach. Still, a really nice product that I run on my M4. How does your linear attach to the M1A?
