So as you already know from my other post I have a nice 1905. It came with a 1917 scabard not that I am complaining. I see there are repros of the correct one for the year mine was made, 1910 and the newer M3 type scabard. I like the way the bayonet is held in on the M3 stlye but I also like the original style with the canvas cover. Given a choice which one would you purchase? All my scabards up until now have been fiberglass. Should I keep it that way and stash away the 1917 or get the original repro?

IMA might still have the early all leather covered repro. Either that, or the canvas covered one.

if it came with the original WWII M1917 scabbord you have a valuable set - but the M1910 if its a prewar [WWII] blade , an M3 if its WWII vintage , but dont loose that M17 , it will have great value , if its a postwar - VN era version it will hold less value
