I had to go to a Social Security office last week for my folks. I was in a suit and carrying a pistol. I was working and on a lunch break. The security guard kept looking at me and finally approached me an asked about the bulge under my jacket. I told him it was a pistol and I was a leo and offered to show him my ID. I was told it was against SS rules to have a weapon in their offices. The security officer handled it well.
Good Tip, Chromebolt!

Note To Self: CHECK for BULGES Before Leaving Home !!!

Carry without a permit? Had a fellow MP in the Army who had defended himself from a knife attack (the scars were all over his fore arms). He lived in a rough city and was mistaken for his drug dealing twin brother. He had a pistol taped under the dash of his car and shot his assailant. He was given a misdemeanor weapon without a permit. He could not have been an MP with a felony. Beyond that, he was a best buddy and a genuine good guy! Talked me out of going AWOL when girlfriend found JODY.

I'd rather have the weapon available, permit or not, than be killed!
