This is a prime example of how even Pro gun groups twist words to seem like they did something, the NRA calls having to get a permit and jump through hoops etc as a 'Right to Carry State' when its clearly a privelege, so now we have a new term called Constitutional Carry which is actually a right to carry. LOL Im glad to see this and hope it spread to Florida

I'm not trying to start a debate... but honestly I'm pro-permit. Just make it easier to get one.

I don't want a 'bad guy' to screw around with a concealed weapon and have it justifiable because the law is on their side. Let the law abiding citizens keep carrying and leave an (easier) permit system to weed out the nutjobs. The "rules are only followed by the lawful" thing also. Sure, the criminals will carry regardless but it's just one more reason to nab them when they get caught.

And yes, I'd think it would be much easier on LEO to see a CCW permit and know he doesn't have to stay on his toes because the guy is on his side.

Just make it a simple background check similar to buying a long gun and leave it at that. (I'm in CA so I assume you other CA guys know the type of registration I'm talking about)

I Bad GUY carying is still a bad guy, they carry already anyhow, thus that argument is totally void and worse intellectually dishonest attempt to support anti gun laws, LEOs dont care if you have a CCW, they will assume you are a badguy as they are terminally paranoid, jeezus think these things through man
