I dunno if anybody has a quality set-up for it, but I'd be tempted to try an extended eye relief optic, maybe 1.5X-5X, illuminated dot. There's somebody making a good EER mount for the Garand but I haven't seen one yet for a more or less box stock M1A.
Ultimak makes a mount for the M1A that replaces the hand guard and has a rail mount.

I use one and mounted a Nikon EER scope on my SOCOM 16.

All used but in good condition. I am fairly certain I have the parts listed correctly but please be sure to double check me. First person to PM or Post "I will take it" gets it. Paypal gift, Paypal +3%, or Money Order.
