It is standard size Khukuri. This knife is identical in measurement and weight to the Angkhola. This model is made in Angkhola Village therefore also known as Panawal Angkhola. The blade measures 10" and the total length with wooden handle is 15.5". This Khukuri however, has a uniquely distinct handle where the metal of the blade in the handle area is flat and not narrow and pointed as in other knives (full tang). The blade is therefore visible all around the handle. The handle is joined strongly to the blade with two metal rivets that can also be seen at the sides. The weight of this knife is 600-650 grams with buffalo leather covered cotton-wood sheathThe CNC Goorkhali generally has a 33cm long blade with a belly of 5.6cm and a rough weight guidline of 600-650grams. And this kukri comes with the Chakmak & Karda utility knives. My kukris are traditional handmade kukri, made in Nepal, and not the usual export and tourist kukri found on many other websites. CNC strives to make kukri to the traditional specifications as per the original models. I strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use.

      Hi,
      I had a nice Kukri Knife and made the mistake of showing it to my Nephew, and...

      Away it went!

      Been meaning to pick up another but was a little picky as far as style. workmanship, and cost.

      Noticed like everything else the prices have gone up! (Thanks Joe!)

      I wanted something that was easy to use would go in my day pack, was a full tang, and wanted some shallow fullers on the blade face or sides.

      Affordable and with decent workmanship.

      This is what I came up with for $85 shipped!

      I have one like that but it is much older. Awesome weapon functions as an effective short sword. A retired friend was in the British SAS in the Falkland war. They had a contingent of Gurkhas deployed with them when they made the final assault to take the high ground above the port. Some of them slung their FAL’s and pulled those short swords and were waiving them. He said the flash of those swords in the sun as they ran towards the first line and what happened next was something he would never forget. They swept over the first line of Argentine trenches taking heads off with a single swing. The second and third line of Argentine’s mostly very young recruits threw down their rifles and ran away. He said no one was prepared for what happened.
