USMC M14 Desert Smear MATCH Rifle

Just recently finished up another of my projects I've been wanting to complete.
Its a USMC 80's era Match conditioned M14.It was built to exact specs like the Marines did.Below is a list of all the items included in the build, all the parts still bear there original finish and match beautifully

1.Early 5 line SAI receiver double lugged per USMC specs. and then bedded to the smear stock with pillars and tourqe screws using Marine Tex bedding compound.
2.Original former USMC shooting team stock rare Desert Smear Mcmillan pattern with original team decal and distinc Mr Ugly signature from a prior shooting team member.
3.Original Barnett USMC barrel still bearing its original finish and USMC RTE stamps
4.USGI op rod modified to clear the front lug as done by the 2112 at the RTE shop.
5.USGI NM rear site from a former 2112 Armorer in its original finish and markings.
6.USGI bolt lapped and fitted to the receiver and headspaced at 1.631
7.Gas cylinder was a USGI piece that was unitized by the Marines method of welding internally at 12 4 and 8 o'clock positions.Front band was also modified with its ears bent upwards for clearance on the top of the stock.
8.Handguard was clearanced for no contac on the underside sides and at the rear then secured with Hysol to lock it down.
9.USGI flash hider that was reamed to NM specs of .406 and fitted with a USGI .062 front site.
10.USGI trigger group that was tuned to a crisp 4.5lb pull.
11.Original 1907 leather sling dared 1985 and mark MRT.
All the parts still bear there original finish and patina and blend well with the vintage stock that also has not been refinished or touched up resulting in a very period correct looking rifle as used in Big Gun matches by the USMC.
